2024 Goal

This year our goal is to raise over $20,000 that we can donate to our amazing local food pantries who we are supporting this year. We raised $25,690 in 2023!

Last year, due to incredible participation from sponsors and competitors, we were able to donate over $25,000 back into our community. Over the course of four years, we have donated over $68,000!

Why a 1K?
Why not? We're putting this on to help the families of the Kearsarge Lake Sunapee Community Food Pantry, Newport Food Pantry and Warner Food Pantry. We want it to be a fun event for all!

How far is a 1K?
This is a 1-kilometer race, 0.62 miles, 3,280ft of powerful walking, jogging, running or shuffling. A distance that anyone can finish. We believe everybody should race at their own pace.

What do I get for my registration fee?
You can brag to your family and friends that you did it and helped to raise money for those in need. It's a great outdoor activity to do while we are all socially distancing! We also have prizes for:

Slowest verified 1k

Most 1k's logged and posted to the facebook group

For prizes, we will need the upload of your activity report and a picture.

How do I sign up?
You can do it online here! 

When can I complete MY 1K?    

You can sign up and run anywhere and anytime you want starting May 1 until May 31st at 3:00 pm! Seriously, anywhere you want; the road, the woods or even your backyard. Don't forget the obstacle course. Do it as many times as you want, with a donation, and the most entries could win a prize.                                                                    u

What if I am not a serious runner?
Then this race is for you! It’s for fun and to help raise money and do something in the community.

What if I AM a serious runner?                                                     

Then this race is for you too! Top finishers will win a prize and this could be your fastest time yet.

What should I wear to the race?
Wear something fun! Wear something comfortable and dress weather appropriate.

Where do the proceeds from the 1K go?
Gross proceeds will be split between Kearsarge Lake Sunapee Community Food Pantry, Newport Food Pantry and Warner Connects NH Food Pantry! Learn more about the incredible work these three organizations do.

What do you do with my information?

When you register, we securely collect certain information which is used to compile your race packet, and to contact you if we have any questions or important announcements. We will not, under any circumstances, share your information with outside organizations, except where applicable by law. We do not sell, communicate, or divulge your information to any outside mailing lists. We use PayPal to process payment of your online registration fees and/or donations and we do not receive any data outside of the transaction number in the process.
